We took our boys to Target this morning for the Dr. Seuss reading event. The two younger ones were so happy, actually our 7 yr old seemed alittle bored, but he had been studying Dr. Seuss all week in school and will be dressing up as Thing 2 on Tuesday for a class project. Our youngest just sat enthralled with the whole thing and loved the stories.
I did take my coupon book with me, and of course my darling hubby rolled his eyes as usual. He asked are we couponing today? I just laughed and told him I was only looking for a couple of things.
I purchased 4 Gillette body and face shower washes 8.5oz and 4 of the hair and body washes. They are regular price of $1.99 each and I used 4 $4.00 off two coupons from the 2-21 P&G insert. I also purchased a Rimmel Mascara for $2.24 and used the $3.00 off coupon from March ALL You magazine.(Needed the mascara thanks to my middle one using mine to paint stripes on things) I also got hubby an energy drink for being so patient with my searching for stuff. My total came to $2.42, which was $0.66 before taxes and $1.76 of taxes. I thought that was a great deal.
I don't usually buy so many of one product, but with older sons, two brothers, and a nephew birthday all going on I figured what better way to get them something they can use and it not break the bank for us!!!

Surprise in mail today from P&G
I go to several sites a day to check out different things if I have time. At the Proctor & Gamble site they were having where you could request a sample of the new Pampers that are coming out next month. Their must have been some mix-up in their system, because my postal carrier came to my door today with 5 boxes!! I was completely shocked!!! Did not realize what samples it was, figured maybe one of several different ones I had ordered. By was I wrong!!!!! They were 5 boxes all of the Pampers samples!!!!!! Each package had 3 diapers each in them, a total of 15 diapers free!!!!!!!!! To me that is almost the same amount in a small package, and didn't have to pay for anything!!

Of course the Hotwheels were to occupy my little monster while shopping, keeps his collection growing and small price to pay. Also the donuts were a impulse buy at register for him as well. Trash bags were because we were out at house.
I do know that I have much better coupons for the cereals, but we were out so just decided to get some for breakfast. Like I said, this was a last minute trip, so I was not as prepared as usual. I usually spend an hour or two after boys go to bed getting ready to shop with ad and coupon matchups, but I still feel that I did well with this trip. I put the links for the coupons I used, hopefully you can copy and paste and be able to get those coupons as well.

Looking for Comments
I would love to see what you think of my blog. I would love to see your comments, questions, or any deals that you have come across yourself!! I am working very hard on trying to be more active each day with this and start posting more deals that I find or link to some from other sites and blogs that I run across. Am also looking to get more active with couponing and passing along what I find to my blog readers.
I am currently in the process of still learning about blogging so please bear with me and there are those days that I just don't have time to get on here. I do hear the questions on how do I not have time to do more, since I stay at home and don't work. Actually I do work, I am a wife and mother of three. I do the housework while my husband works all day, which I admit some days doesn't get quite finished or done as I would like. I have a very active 2 1/2 year old at home all day, who is going through the no napping phase. I absolutely cannot ignore him to donate all my spare time to being online. He is not one of those kids who likes to play by himself, so I spend alot of my day playing cars or things like that. I also get up at 5:30 every morning to get our 7 and 13 yr old off to school and when they get home at 4 it is time to cook dinner and do homework. Then before bed I like to spend time with my boys and husband when he gets home from work. I also do all the shopping and errand running during the day with my youngest because I value our family time in the evenings. I actually enjoy cooking dinner and helping the boys with homework and just relaxing and talking with my husband and us playing with our boys. Some nights, by the time showers, baths, and bedtime routines are done, I am just to exhausted from the day to be able to get online. My wonderful husband has more than once offered to help out in evening by completely occupying the boys so that I can concentrate on blog, but alot of nights, honestly I just want to have family time with them. So, if you don't see a post for a day or I miss something, please don't be upset.
I really want to get my blog up and going and be able to help out others with great deals and everything, but I just can't do it full-time everyday. We can't afford daycare and that is beyond okay with me, as I enjoy my time with my boys, but it does put me behind sometimes.
Thank you all.

Huggies wipes deal at CVS
I saw on several other sites that some CVS stores have the large package of refill wipes on sale for 2/$5.00. I know the ad shows the tubs as being on sale, but the large refill packages that are regularly $7.99 each are ringing up for this price as well!!! This is a great deal. Here is what I did today to get an even better deal on these due to the fact that I don't have any huggies wipes coupons.
I scanned my CVS card at the price scanner to see if I had any printable coupons available. I received a $5/$15 purchase. I was going to purchase Dr.Pepper anyways, since it is all my darling hubby drinks. They are 4/$13 with $3 extra care bucks back.
I purchased 4 12-packs of Dr. Pepper and 2 large wipe refill packages(did check price at scanner first to make sure they would ring up at that price). I used my $5/$15 cpn so basically only paid for Dr. Pepper. I then did another transaction of 2 more large refill packages of wipes and used my $3 extra care bucks and only paid $2 plus tax. It worked out where I basically only paid $2 plus tax for 4 large refill huggies wipes packages which normally run $7.99 a each before taxes!!! What a wonderful deal this is. Now I won't need wipes for some time, hopefully son will be fully potty trained before I run out!!!!!!!

Winn Dixie new coupons
I ran into Winn Dixie yesterday to just pick up some hamburger for dinner. While there I grabbed a couple of cans of Pillsbury grands that are on sale this week. I received a very nice surprise at checkout. A $2.00 of next purchase, manufacturer cpn from Pillsbury!!!!!!! This cpn is not for pillsbury product, it is just like Walgreens Register Rewards.
I am ecstatic, as this is great for Publix, who will take this cpn. I was starting to get upset with Winn Dixie, as they seem to be stopping the $10 off $50 cpn for purchases and now printing out $5 off $75 purchase cpns. Those are not that great of a cpn to me. So keep your eyes out for those!!

Great Birthday Goody bag ideas
Having three boys, even spaced as ours are can be hard on our budget for birthdays. I always seem to be struggling to make goody bags for our guests, which consists of almost all family. With my middle one having a birthday at the beginning of December, I got the idea a couple of years ago to hit the clearance sales after Halloween. It worked out great as he wanted a Spy themed party. The yellow crime scene type ribbon was perfect for decorations. I never think to look at other after holiday clearance sales.
This week, I thought about it since I have one with a birthday at the end of March and the youngest at the end of May. I found some great party favors(paddle balls, yo-yos, and fresbies) at Walmart for a quarter a piece the other day. Then yesterday at Target I went to their Valentines clearance section, which was 90% off. I spent about $2.50 and got tons of boxes of cards. Several of these boxes had pencils in them. What a great idea for party goody bags!! This also gives my 7 year old several choices for cards next year without having to pay the higher prices. I was thrilled.
Now I still have St. Patrick's day to go and then Easter clearance as well. I try to get the things that actually do not have the holiday theme or name on them and it works great.
Hope this helps out some others as well.

Good deals I have found at Target
I found some Glade Plugins with the extra outlet on clearance at my local Target yesterday for $1.64. The regular plugin gel warmers are on sale this week for $1.66, and their is a coupon for $1.50 off from 1/24 Smartsource. This is a great deal because if you buys three it qualifies for the $5.00 S.C. Johnson rebate. I don't usually use the plugin type airfreshners, but at .14-.16 cents, it is worth it for me.

Target Gift Card and Olay rebate deal
Now here is a great deal, just wish I knew about it earlier this week, as I did deal #1 and received the gift cards, but Rebate was not active as of yet. May try to do this deal again next week it will just depend on available finances. These deal scenarios I got from TotallyTarget.com I absolutely love her site and highly recommend it if you want to shop target and get some great deals. If you are looking for the rebate for Olay you can click the title of post and should pull up the rebate form. This is a great deal and a wonderful moneymaker if you can do it. Now my total was two dollars higher, as I do not get the Target mobile coupon, which comes via text message on cell phone. But still a great deal otherwise if you can do it. I use the gift cards to help purchase other things that I need.

Behind yet again
Sorry to say that I am behind on things yet again this week. With the weather being yucky and school closing on Friday, I haven't had a chance to get much done. I did hit a couple of sales this week, but they ended Tuesday. I apologize for not getting deals posted as I should have. With having three boys, things seem to get hectic at times. All three have had colds or not felt good this week and now one has pink eye. Trying to isolate him from the older one is easy, but from our youngest is extremely hard since they both want to play together, for once without fighting. I will try to do better this week, but it is Mardi Gras parades on Tuesday and we don't miss the two that are local. Will be first time for our oldest to go to parades since he just moved in with us this summer. Very, very excited about that. Will post any good deals that I run across or find.

Publix trip on 2-8-2010
I only ran into Publix today to catch a few deals before they end tomorrow. I also wanted to get some pull ups for the Kimberly Clark/Unilever Rebate before it ended on Saturday.

2 pkgs Yoplait Kids Yogurt - $2.87 B1G1
2 boxes Kraft Velvetta shells and cheese - $2.57 B1G1
8 pkgs Dixie Ultra Strong Paper plates - $3.03 B1G1
1 box Publix brand plastic spoons - $0.89
1 pkg Goodnites - $10.49
2 pkgs Huggies Pull Ups - $10.99 each
Coupons used
1 Rite Aid $5 off $25 purchase
1 Publix $5 off $50 purchase
1 $10 Walgreens Registar Rewards
2 $3.00 Publix cpn for Pull Ups
1 $3.00 Publix cpn for Goodnites
2 $2.00 off any Pull Ups
1 $1.50 off Goodnites
1 $1.00 off two Kraft Shells and cheese products
4 $2.00 off two Dixie plates 30ct. Rite Aid Video cpn
1 $1.00 off two Yoplait kids Yogurt
Overall a wonderful trip in my opinion. Less than $10 for all those pull ups and plates was a great buy for me. We are working on trying to potty train our youngest. The Goodnites I have never purchased before, but they are suppose to look similar to boxers, so hoping that will encourage as he has some strange fear of pull ups. Diapers don't bother him, and he will wear underwear, but goes nuts if you try to put a pull up on him. Anyways, if nothing else, very stocked up on paper plates!!!

Did not have as many coupons this week for Winn Dixie, but they had some great B1G1 free items on sale this week. Had to purchase chips and dip for sons valentines snack at school this week so worked out great. The roast were a great buy I believe. They are small so it will take two to feed my family of 5, but that is fine. The Meal Deal works out to atleast two different meals for us and snacks as well. My family loves the cocktail smokies wrapped in biscuits for dinner so almost two meals for less than cost of one. Really needed this deal this week. I will actually try to get this deal one more time tomorrow before it ends.

Walgreens Deal
Here are my totals from Walgreens. I actually had no out of pocket expense on this trip because of a gift card from Walgreens. My shopping experience with them was not so great last week when I went to work the Pepsi deal. I did email the company and by that evening had received a phone call from the Manager of our local store. He apologized and wanted to give me a $25 gift card for the problems and poor customer service that I received. Here are my purchases and coupons.

Ready for New Week

Busy
I am little behind this week, actually alot behind this week. I have been very busy with family things and have not had a chance to post my sales and deals for this week. I hope to have time today to get them up. I have several deals that I did this week that I will post. I am very pleased with my deals for this week from all my shopping experiences.
We have had a busy week in our house. My wonderful husband has had to fix my car, which has been down for a couple of months. The part to fix it was just so expensive and with us only being a one income family can't just run out and buy something because we want it or need it. We have bills and groceries and 3 boys to take care of that come first. Now that it is fixed, we got some different seats for his truck for free and now he is redoing his truck interior, which is a project that he has wanted to do forever.
Please bear with me as I will get caught up as soon as possible and will get everything posted.

Today's Shopping Agenda
I will be just hitting a couple of sales today at Target, Walgreens, and Winn Dixie. I am getting my Publix list together for tomorrow, unless I get some time this afternoon to go. Will post how my deals worked out later today when I can.
Tuesday, February 2, 2010
Slow start to this week for me. Behind on getting anything done yet, as we are having to fix car. I will be doing my shopping hopefully tomorrow and will post my sales. I have seen alot of things that are great deals on the sneak peek that IHeartPublix puts out, but there are some good deals on snack stuff that I may try to get. Really not sure what is on agenda for shopping this week, but do know that I will be doing the Pepsi sale at Walgreens and submitting for the Pepsico Rebate which ends this weekend, and also will be getting Tostidos and dip at Target as those are great deals also. Will post details and coupons used as soon as I get a chance.
